Cervical cancer is a common female malignant tumor with the highest mortality rate among all gynecological malignancies. In 2018, the incidence of cervical cancer in Lishui was 44.27 per 100,000, which was higher than the average incidence of 29.9 per 100,000 in Zhejiang Province.
Horrible is that cervical cancer is very concealed, without any discomfort in the early stages, and when there are symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, most of them have reached the middle and advanced stages of cancer. During the "two cancer screening", some doctors were questioned: Is it wrong, I don't have any discomfort, how can it be cancer?
Case: 10-minute minor surgery to block cervical cancer
In July of this year, Ms. Zhao, 58, conducted a "two cancer screening" at the city's Maternal and Child Health Hospital and was found to have grade 3 cervical precancerous lesions. Vice President Cheng Xiaoyan used the hospital's latest introduction of the first "sharp knife" equipment in the province. It only took 10 minutes for her to perform a cervical cone surgery, and she was discharged from the hospital two days later. Recently, Ms. Zhao returned to the hospital for review and the results were normal.
"Thank you, if you don't find and treat me in time, the consequences are really daring to imagine." Before leaving, Ms. Zhao thanked again and again.
Deputy Director Cheng Xiaoyan said that Ms. Zhao was undoubtedly very lucky to have found a precancerous lesion of the cervix during a physical examination. As long as the precancerous lesions of the cervix are detected early, a small minimally invasive surgery can relieve the after-effects, and regular follow-up in the future will basically prevent cervical cancer.
In 2018, the city passed a free "two cancer screening" to conduct a total of 64194 cervical cancer tests, screen 7001 cases of positive HPV virus infection, and 420 cases of cervical precancerous lesions. These people undergo regular review, precancerous surgery and follow-up. Will say "bye" to cervical cancer.
However, we also sadly find that not everyone is so lucky. In the 2018 screening, 32 women were found to have cervical cancer. Once the precancerous lesions develop into cervical cancer, even if they are discovered in time, they will bring great physical trauma and economic burden to women. If they develop into the middle and advanced stages, they will face more painful chemoradiotherapy, hysterectomy and even loss of life.
Three lines of defense "joint" can completely prevent cervical cancer
Deputy Director Cheng Xiaoyan introduced that although cervical cancer has a high mortality rate, it is:
The only cancer with a known cause (ie HPV infectious disease).
The only cancer that can be detected and prevented early.
The only cancer that is expected to eradicate.
Because not all people infected with HPV virus will develop cervical cancer, and they will only get cancer if they are continuously infected with HPV virus for 8 to 10 years.
Therefore, as long as women keep the three lines of defense against cervical cancer, they can completely avoid it.
First line of defense: HPV vaccine
Everyone is the first person responsible for their own health. Female friends should not be sexually exposed at an early age. They should be clean and self-loving, make the first pass, and reduce the probability of being infected with HPV. At the same time, women of appropriate age can also effectively prevent carcinogenic HPV virus infection by inoculating cervical cancer vaccines of different prices. At present, the adult vaccination clinics of the City Maternal and Child Health Hospital have successively introduced two-, four-, and nine-valent vaccines for cervical cancer, and everyone can vaccinate as needed.
Second line of defense: regular physical examination + cervical cancer screening
Vaccination against cervical cancer is only the first line of defense against cervical cancer. It does not prevent 100% of cervical cancer, especially for women who are married. The second line of defense is to prevent cervical cancer. With regular and regular experience and cervical cancer screening, this is helpful for timely detection of cases of HPV infection and cases of precancerous lesions.
Deputy Dean Cheng Xiaoyan reminded that any woman who has had sex for more than three years or who has sex for more than 21 years should take cervical fluid-based cytology (TCT) + HPV screening.
Screening interval recommendations
Once a year, two consecutive cytological tests are negative and can be extended to 3 years.
If two consecutive cytology and HPV screening tests are negative, it can be extended to 5 years.
Screening intervals for those with low immune function should be shortened.
The third line of defense: timely diagnosis and treatment of precancerous lesions
Regarding the precancerous lesions detected by the second line of defense sieve, with the most advanced diagnosis and treatment technology, standardized cervical disease treatment and regular follow-up can be performed to effectively prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer, which is to prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer The third line of defense is also the last line of defense.
Creating a multi-dimensional cervical cancer prevention system
Lishui Maternal and Child Health Hospital has always been committed to building three lines of defense for cervical cancer prevention and treatment, and creating a multi-dimensional and comprehensive cervical cancer prevention and treatment system to protect more women from cervical cancer. In 2007, Lishui Maternal and Child Health Hospital Cervical Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center Established. At present, the diagnosis and treatment center is equipped with 16 gynecologists with intermediate and senior titles.
The diagnosis and treatment center has introduced the province's first sharp knife, two colposcopy imported from Germany, high-frequency electrosurgical Lipps machine, and Stryker high-definition laparoscopy. It can carry out various HPV virus tests, cervical TCT inspection, and cervical The treatment of various precancerous lesions and various types of surgical treatment of cervical cancer, and the establishment of cooperative relationships with Zhejiang Cancer Hospital and Shanghai Jiaotong University System Biomedical Research Institute based on the Lishui Women's and Children's Health Conjoint Platform to continuously improve the hospital's cervical cancer screening Check and diagnose levels.
